Our audience and children's privacy
The Site serves readers, parents and guardians, educators, librarians, and other adults. Some Tandem Tales books and activities are designed for children, but the Site does not require a child to create an account or provide personal information to read pages or download free materials.
Review forms are intended only for adults. Children under 13 should not submit reviews, contact information, or other personal information through the Site. A parent, guardian, or educator should contact us on a child's behalf.
We do not use behavioral advertising, remarketing, or advertising personalization on the Site, and we do not knowingly create profiles of children.
Information collected by Site features
Downloads and Reader Bonuses
When the Site successfully serves a downloadable resource, it records the resource identifier and the date and time of the request. This count does not identify a unique person and does not confirm that the file was saved, opened, or read.
Reader Bonus answers are checked to determine whether to provide a temporary download token. The answer and token are used for that request and are not used to identify the reader.
Reader and game reviews
An adult who voluntarily submits a review provides a chosen display name, adult role, rating, headline, review text, and any optional promotional permission. Reviews are moderated before publication. We ask reviewers not to include children's names or personal information.
Technical information
Like most websites, the Site's hosting and security services may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, and request time to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics in a limited, privacy-conscious configuration to understand general Site activity. Analytics may measure page views, visits, approximate general location, device category, referral source, downloads, and clicks to other websites.

How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate and protect the Site, count requested resources, understand which pages and materials are useful, moderate reviews, improve Tandem Tales offerings, and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help host, secure, measure, or operate the Site, including Google for Analytics. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, its visitors, or others.
Choices, retention, and contact
Visitors can decline analytics storage when a consent choice is presented, use browser privacy controls, or use Google's opt-out add-on. Blocking analytics does not prevent access to Tandem Tales content or downloads.
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, security, and recordkeeping. Google Analytics retention is also governed by the settings and policies of that service.
